WARNING! SPOILER ON RG Veda and Magic Knight Rayearth!

the next page, the individual characters are outlined in relation to their corresponding mythological, highlighting the origins of the name / caratteristiche..insomma similarities and differences compared to their original model.
But I want to concentrate on the box in the bottom left which also has a regular column in this series that is, "Reading ..." in this case "read Rg Veda ovverossia impressions during a reading that Fumiko Yamamoto, s eho well understood by a quick search on the web, should be a Japanese literary critic, curator, inter alia, an anthology of Haiku.
The short article published here is titled: THE "structural shift" RG VEDA IN THE CLAMP.
"Presenting at the final stage of the narrative a completely different situation, which calls into question everything he had believed until that moment, it is a fairly common trick in the entertainment media such as films, novels, comic books ... (in Kabuki called "dondenkaeshi"). And the more this concerns the core of the work carried out and the system of values to it, so obviously all the readers / viewers will be surprised and the greater the excitement they feel for this turn of events.
In the works of Clamp the "dondenkaeshi" occurs often and is one of the most well-chosen no doubt in their debut work, the "Rig Veda".
Here we find the "bad" on one side (Taishakuten feared as a devil destroyer) and the "good" part (6 Yasha and other stars who want to defeat him to save the sky). It is a story that presents the classic theme from the beginning "of the struggle of good versus evil" already has all the elements to captivate the reader. But the scheme "Taishakuten is evil, 7 stars are good "is completely challenged towards the end of the series. Taishakuten It looks like the" good "that is able to question everything else just to keep faith in a promise to him that is of fundamental importance . And once we discover that the 7 stars are those that threaten to destroy the world and therefore represent evil in the strict sense.
This brilliant "structural change" is also found in the "Magi Knight Rayearth." This series tells the story of three students who fight like knights in the magical world of Cephiro to save it from ruin and Princess Emeraude, who drew the heroines of our world and has always sided with them, at the end will prove as their enemy! While the "terrible enemy" Zagato will be an ally, since all his actions were intended to protect the princess.
Readers, surprised, because that certainly had not expected such a turn of events, on the one hand you feel quite confused, but it is also easy to predict that this change will give your more charm to the world depicted in the manga.

After the presentation summary of the series follows a brief summary that I am not posting, I suggest you read the manga ^ ^
rather I was a bit 'impression, among other things, to think as he translated so that the above ... actually the characters of Clamp unisex (and their manga will abound over here .. just think the two Ashura, Ten-O, Soma, Kujaku, Karura, Kendappa all, if not sexually ambiguous characteristics attributable to both the female and male side) may have contributed to the movement for women's empowerment. It 'an interesting interpretation of the rest of the masculine and strong female characters of these manga (there's Arashi X: 3 but would not be enough to mention them all whole pages!) Lend themselves well to ask themselves in active competition with the characters male, short, piercing the pages!
other hand, almost all the male characters of Clamp have a sensitivity or at least a feminine beauty .. but you know that in Japan in the cross-dressing manga / anime is almost a rule .. who said Lady Oscar? * _ *
Everything should sink the reasons in traditional Japanese theater, or rather in its various forms, from No to kabuki where they would not only men who represent the majority of women (and also lived their private lives such as to identify himself better. .) but also men and women interpret (and not only in the modern takarazuka!).
However, the 'Essential' followed by several pages where the story is reported volume for volume (Japanese edition) with small reproductions of individual boards of the highlights:
The contents of each are divided tankobon "atmospheric"
-invisible tie
-wild-do
times
Below is a page with all the merchandising published in Rg Veda (in Japan, unfortunately Y_Y)
Lower Left have collected some of the reader comments on the series.
followed by two pages with short Portraits of all the characters, major and minor.
The small gallery interspersed with the text, as you can see, has some beautiful tables! * _ *

After the interview the Clamp on the development of RG Veda, we find a general summary of the story and "The essential "ovverossia the essential characteristics of the manga along with several reports of merchandising and publishing home.
THE ESSENTIAL
" A new kind of narrator that acts as a sounding board to the feelings of the new generation, and an extraordinary talent for drawing and screenplay .. this is what comes to light in Rigveda for the first time. The career of the clamp, which now includes 15 years under his belt, it started right here, "
's opera debut, the first step toward a career!
Rg Veda is the unforgettable debut in the world of work the mangaka group Clamp professionals, who had already achieved considerable popularity in the world of doujinshi.
was in magazines such as "Wings" and "Asuka" (which was serialized Rg Veda) that several authors who had already developed a personal style drawing doujinshi, could also give life to their so-called "art movement", a "trademark".
At the time (it was in 1985) in accordance with the "law on equal opportunities between men and women" were trying to stimulate the establishment of women in society and the rigid division of roles between the sexes was seriously contested . pursues the next generation of shoujo manga characters with their unisex were not clearly attributable to any of the two sexes, became the symbol of a new concept love (which gave birth to a whole range of stereotypes later) and a renewed image of women, free and independent.
Obviously these works find broad resonance in the generation of teenagers of that time and in their scale of values so different than before.
Among the authors of this movement, the clamp stand out thanks to their mastery.
The action of the manga, based on the ancient texts of Indian Brahmanism, its history, so intense, almost like a Greek tragedy and the unusually high level of their boards, beautiful and very detailed .. thanks to all those left behind the status of a debutante and exerted profound impression on readers of the time.
At this popularity had the Drama CD of 1990 and the OVA appeared in 1991/92. There are not many authors who made their debut at these levels and were able to turn out for the next 15 years work always fascinating. What kind of manga was this with which debuted Clamp? People new to the Rigveda, absolutely must seize the first opportunity to read this masterpiece at least once, but the others are strongly encouraged to re-read!

Stomach Flu In Ontario
Full Moon of January.
was full moon, last night, in case anyone had not noticed it .. the chance to indulge in idle fancies
^ ^ Today, the moon was a huge Chizzo, the color of ripe wheat, suspended Virgolo on the hill (the Calvary Bolzano ed XD)
Wide, gentle in his kit of clouds as a quick whisper in the dark summer cold that now surrounds us.
"Poets Moon" as a teenager I was fascinated by this expression, I had heard for the first time since my Italian teacher, I had the crowds to the fourth year, which was both "beautiful and damned" poses in his cursed decadent>. <
"Poets Moon" .. repeated endlessly, as an arcane spell known only to me, as un'intimissima union with the silent partner that has always haunted humanity since its beginnings ..
So she was always there, quiet, seemingly indifferent to the events of his earthly counterpart, unattainable, ... and yet so close you could almost touch, at times, vague promises of what might be lurking in the depths of the cosmos, the secret door of the stars.
Leopradi And, the most famous of the "lunar poets", was able to decipher his mystical message: it was his vagueness, make it unique, evanescent and that air of melancholy, the cascade of pure silver in which I was immersed confident in the nights of full moon , intoxicated by art and beauty.
E 'quell'algida spark that has fascinated the Romantics of all ages and countries, that sigh that caressed the golden river surrounded by forests and placid sleep, giving the landscape the size of a fairy tale .. old a pain that would never was fully evoked.
Numerous attempts have been made to give form to that languid, one of the best results is perhaps the "Song of a night wandering shepherd Asia" the most beautiful IMHO but paradoxically the least known of the compositions Leopardian.
Maybe the child did wrong or musicality compared to Silvia on Saturday in the village, perhaps too long, perhaps too much the attitude of meditation, but I have always adored and even learned by heart, at the time. IMHO
encloses the quintessence of the "Almanac" ovverossia preparing afarsi kidnap the moon XD

Clamps Wonderworld Part IV
Q: Was it planned from the outset that Rg Veda was a long series?
R (Ohkawa): No. First draw up a oneshot "South", then three times posted something about "Wings" just to feel the audience reaction.
D: Pretty hard, right?
R (Ohkawa): No, it's a normal procedure for a trade magazine. We also intend to propose another story, because we wanted to avoid "Seiden" in the meantime is interrupted. But the drafting of the project and was convinced he wanted to carry it forward. The first episode was "The Feast of the 7 stars," then came "The rebirth of Ashura."
R (Igarashi): There was always the possibility of concluding everything with "And so they continued their journey .." or something like that. However, since receiving the result was good, we were able to move forward.
Q: There were other conditions for continuing the series?
R (Nekoi): Oh, sure (laughs). After the publication of the first volume was discussed by a party who absolutely had to be clarified before proceeding. But overcoming these obstacles, there were no other special requests ..
Q: So Rg Veda became a rather long one. Surely new difficulties emerged ..
R (Ohkawa): What we created the greatest difficulties was the typesetting of texts, particularly one that inclu-character names. The names were written in characters so unusual and easy to confuse, that even we would have found it difficult to become famous if we had similar names (laughs).
scrupulously assess the name of each character and we always complain: "But why should this character have a name so difficult ...!?" (Laughs)
R (Igarashi): And to think that we had him saddled us, that name! (Laughs)
R (Ohkawa): The kanji were sometimes so difficult that the editor said, "But you could write it in katakana?". But first I could not imagine it sounding names in a simple syllabic script, so finally we had to continue to tolerate our Chinese characters. (Laughs). But I can understand the concerns of the chief editor ...
R (Mokona): Those of the graphics department always had problems with our nets. Then there were also market high value graphic manga like "Bastard" by Kazushi Hagiwara rather successful even doing very little use of nets. So they used the time .. Our request to use nets became a rather serious.
R (Ohkawa): So the artists met all these difficulties. The work required more time. Ashura and the others wore suits and detailed a series of ornaments with all those lines .. you could not do without the retina (laughs).
R (Nekoi): The problem of screens is that when you start, then you can not help it. At first we tried to hold us back, but then we could not stop .... We
exaggerated, especially in the middle of the series ..
R (Igarashi): It 's the fault of the retina of our manuscripts were unreadable mess (laughs).
R (Mokona): Not only were the screens to give us problems. When his debut did not even know how to realize the backgrounds. How could one fill in the blanks? Every time we had to experiment ..
R (Nekoi) and so each time the backgrounds were so different .. (laughs)
[Actually what disturbs early works Clamp, type Mouryo Kiden, is the lack of backgrounds, the scene is focused only on the characters, there is a vacuum behind, the darkness .. gives a little 'a sense of desolation, but glad to see that even great writers have had to start from the bottom .. it's reassuring! >. <)
R (Ohkawa): Sometimes we do it in three days, sometimes after a week we had not finito.Disegni now completed in a day, then there also required 5.
R (Mokona): drawing, .. but ended up never! (Laughs). If it is a doujinshi, the artist himself to settle the times: you can always defer and work at something until you feel like it!
But when you work for a Major, must remain within predetermined times. Until it has acquired the sense of time, it was terrible.
And then there was the question of randezza boards .. Of course when I shopping for a newspaper, should be larger.
R (Nkoi): The problem then was really fill in the blanks. And when we face each time those tables was a huge shock. Looking back, I realize that sometimes we just filled all of color, without thinking, if he was okay or if you could still tell something .. (laughs).
